Today at the Nintendo Press Conference we got some juicy news regarding Platinum Game’s Bayonetta 2, the much-awaited sequel to the popular third-person action series. Not only will we be getting Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U, we’ll also be getting its predecessor — perfect for anyone still curious about this gem of a game.

It’s still strange to think a game like it is being released on the Wii U (stranger things have happened; however, consider Platinum’s MadWorld), but still just as promising the more we see of its intensely challenging gameplay and flirty humour. If its predecessor proved anything it’s that gamers want something edgy, original, self-aware and full of challenge.

And to add to the game’s already playful vibe, Bayonetta 2 will also let players dress up in gear from other Nintendo series like The Legend of Zelda, Metroid and Mario. Let the cosplay goodness begin!

Bayonetta 2 will be released this October on the Wii U. Stay tuned for more info soon!
