Yoshi’s Woolly World, Splatoon, Kirby coming early 2015

Nintendo seems to be on a roll with announcing release dates lately.

Following the announcement that Majora’s Mask 3D will be hitting their portable console in the Spring next year, Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma announced that The Legend of Zelda and StarFox (both titles for Wii U) will be hitting later in the year. Now, the company is confirming that Yoshi’s Woolly World as well as Splatoon and Kirby’s Rainbow Curse will all hit the market in early 2015.

This year has shaped up to be a stronger one for Nintendo’s console, with the release of Mario Kart 8Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, as well as the introduction of the NFC-enabled amiibo figures.

Next year seems to be showing its colours earlier, and it’s a sign that Nintendo might have turned a corner on some major development milestones in the Wii U’s lifecycle. As developers become more familiar with the hardware, they’re able to craft games in a more timely fashion, and this kind of release schedule proves it.

Keep an eye out for reviews of all three titles when they come to Eggplante in early 2015!
