Get a free Serperior in Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire right now

The official Pokemon website is revealing special codes that you can use to snag free (and very rare!) Pokemon from Mystery Gift for your copy of Pokemon Omega Ruby and/or Pokemon Alpha Sapphire! One of these codes has just been revealed, POKEMON497, which, when entered into either game’s Mystery Gift function, will allow you to score a free Level 50 Serperior!

Pokemon ORAS - Box ArtNot only is this Serperior a mighty Grass-Type Pokemon to own, knowing Leaf Storm, Hold Back, Wring Out and Giga Drain, but you can also breed it (if it’s a male, you’ll need to use a Ditto) to hatch Snivy, the Grass-Type starter from Pokemon Black Version and Pokemon White Version for DS, along with their direct sequels, Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2. This Serperior also comes in a Cherish Ball, and wears a Classic Ribbon. It also exclusively has the hidden ability, Contrary, which makes status ailments have opposite effects on it.

Be advised that Serperior is only being offered in Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, and doesn’t appear to be on offer for Pokemon X/Y unfortunately. If you do own one or both of Pokemon Omega Ruby or Pokemon Alpha Sapphire however, so long as you’ve played far enough to attain the Pokedex (which is less than an hour into the game), you can go to Mystery Gift on the main menu after the title screen, then select “Get Via Code”. Be sure that your 3DS/2DS has plenty of battery, as the code can’t be entered again if the handheld dies during the process, so you may want to plug in the AC adapter if you’re not sure. Regardless, when prompted to enter the code, type in POKEMON497, no spaces, and Serperior is yours! Start your game, pick it up in any Pokemon Center across the Hoenn Region, save your game, and voila!

The Pokemon website will also be offering the fully evolved forms of the other Unova starters, Emboar and Samurott, very soon as well. We at Eggplante will be sure to let you know when you can get your hands on these valuable Pokemon in Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, so keep catching us for all major Pokemon news and updates!
