While we’ve wrapped Survivor‘s 31st season with Second Chance, CBS made sure to announce the game’s next season, Survivor:
The announcement, made by the show’s host Jeff Probst at the Second Chance reunion show, is for a show that has actually already been filmed. However, because of the just-wrapped season’s fan-voted contestants, the order in which airing takes place is different.
The main game here is nothing new: the show will host 18 players each trying to outwit, outplay, and outlast the others to become the sole Survivor. The twist in the upcoming season is a returning favourite: Brain vs. Brawn vs. Beauty 2.
Jeff Probst also made sure to mention that it is the most brutal season yet, with at least one evacuation alongside plenty of medical teams being called in to look at injuries, sprains, and infections.
We’ve seen the game evolve many times over the past few years, but most Spring seasons of Survivor debut in the February or March timeframe. This year, they’re not bucking the trend, so expect to be back to your favourite reality show in just a few short months.
