Assassin’s Creed Origins developer answers players’ combat-related questions

Game Director Ashraf Ismail has taken to the Internet (well, YouTube), to thoroughly answer fans’ questions pertaining to Assassin’s Creed Origins‘ updated combat systems. So, if you’ve been wondering how things will work this time around, or curious to hear about what’s been changed, then you’ll want to both watch and listen.

What will interest (and please) fans most is confirmation that one won’t have to wait for combat animations to end before striking again. Instead, the story of how this all began will allow for much more freedom, and use a combat design that is less about heavy damage than ever before. As such, speed and defense will both be key to your success, as will reading each unique situation properly. After all, enemies carry varied weapon loadouts, and can all act differently.

Also discussed are some of the weapons that we’ll be able to use, including a bow that complements horseback riding.

You can look forward to putting all of the above into use when Assassin’s Creed Origins launches on October 27th.
