When the National Hockey League drops the puck for its 2017-2018 season, it will do so with a new team in its stable. That is, the Vegas Golden Knights, who were compiled through an expansion draft at the NHL Awards, and will suit up for the first time this fall.
With NHL 18, fans can partake in the expansion action, by setting up and going through with their own Expansion Drafts. Things aren’t limited to just that, though, as these custom teams can also be edited to one’s liking, through the game’s jersey, arena and team creation suites. Then, following that, the new organization can be taken onto the ice, thanks to options that support either one or two expansion teams for the digitized 2017-2018 season.
Needless to say, it’s a really neat feature, and one that we can’t wait to test out when NHL 18 releases next month.
