A spartan Easter Egg hides inside each Xbox One X

Amidst each Xbox One X’s chips, motherboard and other technological facets, lays an Easter Egg that nobody will ever see. That is, unless they’re willing to disassemble the $600 device, for whatever reason.

Said Easter Egg happens to be an image of Master Chief riding a scorpion, which is fitting given that the console’s codename was Project Scorpio. It’s also green, which works pretty well for obvious reasons. This seemingly replaces the “Hello from Seattle” message that other Xbox Ones generally feature.

This discovery was made by Spanish YouTube channel, Unocero, which got its hands on a disassembled version of the console and posted a video showcasing what they found.

The Xbox One X will be released early next month, and will bring 4K gaming to the Xbox family of devices.
