Steep: Road to the Olympics to feature real life athletes

In Steep: Road to the Olympics, extreme sports fans will take control of an athlete who’s training his heart out for the upcoming winter Olympics. As part of their journey, Ubisoft has announced, these players will also benefit from some coaching and words of wisdom from real life Olympic athletes, who will all appear in video form.

A total of ten different athletes will lend their pipes and share their experiences in-game, and it’s a list that’s full of big names. For starters, there’s American skier Lindsey Vonn, as well as gold medalists Sage Kotsenburg and Bode Miller. They’ll be joined by others from different regions, including Australian snowboarder Scotty James.

Road to the Olympics, which will serve as an expansion for the original game, is set to feature three different events (Big Air, Slopestyle and Halfpipe) for players to get good at. To get them there, it will present lots of different challenges based around each wintry craft, and will offer the athletes’ video testimonials prior to them.

Steep: Road to the Olympics will be released on December 5th.
