2001 - About six months after the launch of the PlayStation 2 in North America, Sony began betting on new franchises like Devil May Cry and Jak and Daxter to continue its dominance over the Dreamcast while fending off Microsoft’s entry to the gaming space. It also didn’t hurt that Klonoa 2 and Silent Hill 2 debuted that year, either.

Devil May Cry HD Collection coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2018

Itching to replay the first three Devil May Cry games on modern hardware? Or, would you like to check them out for the first time on PS4, Xbox One or PC? Either way, you’re in luck now that Capcom has confirmed that the Devil May Cry HD Collection will release on all three platforms in early 2018.

This news comes to us from the Capcom Unity Blog, wherein Community Specialist Yuri Araujo confirmed the impending release through his favourite medium. His post is short and sweet, featuring classic commercials and imagery from ever popular Devil May Cry and its first two sequels. As such, there’s not a lot of unique information to be found, but then again it’s not like much needed to be said.

Everything of importance is there, though, including the set’s release date and its price. That is, March 13, 2018, at a suggested retail price of $29.99 USD. Of course, it’s also stated that the Devil May Cry HD Collection will be made available physically and digitally, but that’s a given.
