Hitman 2 announced for fall release; will be a full, non-episodic game

Agent 47 will resume his silent and careful job this November, when Hitman 2 brings its non-episodic assassinations to consoles and PC. A sequel to the last game, which was itself an episodic reboot, it will continue the assassin’s story under new publisher Warner Bros Interactive.

Set for release in November, this contained sequel will introduce cooperative play through a Sniper Assassins mode. This will not be the only new mode, though, according to the game’s press release. Said document also goes as far as to state that there will be new ways to play found within Hitman 2.

This game’s storyline is based around 47’s mission to “eliminate the elusive Shadow Client and unravel his militia, but when 47 learns his target’s true identity and the truth about his past, it changes everything.”

Hitman 2 will stealth assassinate its targets, and use costumes and distractions to do so, on November 13th. On that day, it will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
