Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning gets a badass launch trailer

Approximately eight years after it first released, 38 Studios’ Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is back, and has a slightly different name. They call this version Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, and that’s because it marks the updated return of a long and addictive RPG.

Somewhat cheesy subtitle aside, this is being billed as the definitive version of the 2012 cult classic, which sadly under-performed back then. It comes bearing all of the content of the original release, including its two additional DLC expansions. Of course, things have also been updated, including the visuals, sound and gameplay.

A new, Fatesworn expansion will also be released in 2021. This is brand new content that is being developed now.

Stay tuned for our review of this updated version of one of our favourite games. It’s a lengthy one, so it’ll take a bit of time, but it’ll be up in the near future.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is now out for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. It will set you back $39.99 USD, or your local equivalent of that. Those who own the PC version of the original can also receive an up to 60% loyalty discount for a limited time. That said, if you want the Fate Edition, which will guarantee pre-paid access to the upcoming Fatesworn add-on, you’re looking at a cost of $54.99 for the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Fate Edition.
