TT Games announces LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

The folks who started the LEGO game craze are hard at work on a new title, which was just revealed today. They call it LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, and it’s inspired by the 86 year history of the Caped Crusader.

The game, which is being published by Warner Bros., is set in an open world Gotham City, and will feature the series’ trademark humour. It’ll also feature an all new combat system which takes advantage of Batman’s abilities, allowing players to chain fluid attacks, counter incoming ones and perform takedowns. They’ll also be able to use gadgets from both the titular hero’s arsenal, and those of his allies.

In true Telltale LEGO game fashion, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight also promises secrets to find, rooftops to scale, zip lines to use, and vehicles like the Batglider, as well as different Batmobiles and Batcycles.

The adventure begins with the origins of Batman as a young Bruce Wayne trains with The League of Shadows, and throughout the story-led campaign, players will build a family of allies with well-known characters including Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul to help confront an ever-growing threat from a Rogues Gallery of DC Super-Villains, facing the likes of The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, Bane, and more.
