Through press release means, Gibson and CRKD have announced the return of a classic accessory: the Gibson SG Guitar Controller, which is now available for PlayStation consoles. It works with PlayStation 4 and 5.
They say that it’s “perfect for Fortnite Festival and Rock Band 4 on PlayStation 4 & 5. Wanna play your old titles? Classic Guitar Hero and Rock Band titles are also supported through a dedicated Legacy Mode.”
Preorders are open now, and the guitars are expected to start shipping next month.

The Gibson SG Guitar Controller features the signature CRKD 8-action button navigation hub, complete with left and right analog sticks and a discreetly placed D-Pad on the back of the headstock, providing seamless menu navigation and additional functionality. Discrete Platform Slider allows gamers to quickly toggle between PS5™, PS4™, Legacy Mode and PC Mode, and the Hall effect Whammy Bar won’t let gamers down in those crucially timed activations!
Through the CRKD App (CTRL), players can unlock a wide range of customization options and features, including button remapping, strum bar sensitivity adjustment, tilt activation settings, and firmware updates. The app also allows owners to register their product as part of the True Collection System, adding it to their personal library of CRKD collectibles with a unique product number and rarity rank.
