Here’s an excerpt from its press release:

On the App Store for iPhone, iPad and Mac, players can try before they buy with a free experience of the game, then unlock the full adventure with a single one-off payment of $14.99 USD, with no ads. Bluey’s Quest for The Gold Pen launches today on the App Store, with Google Play to follow on 10 January 2026. The game will release for PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later in 2026.

Built by Brisbane-based Halfbrick Studios, the developers behind global hits Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, the game features the original voice actors from the animated show, hand-drawn environments inspired by the ‘Dragon’ and ‘Escape’ episodes of the beloved TV series, and a new soundtrack composed and produced in-house by Halfbrick in close collaboration with Ludo Studio and BBC Studios.

With fully animated cutscenes and characters woven into an all-new story written by Joe Brumm, Bluey’s Quest for The Gold Pen blends heartfelt storytelling with discovery-driven gameplay.

Bluey is drawing when Dad suddenly yoinks the Gold Pen she needs to complete her story. A new world is brought to life as the Heeler family gather around the kitchen table to draw together. Mum designs the strange and distant lands, Dad rocks up on his cool bike as self-declared King Goldie Horns, and Bingo transforms into her honk-happy alter ego, Bingoose, a plucky adventurer who even lays golden eggs. Bluey and Bingoose embark on an exciting quest to retrieve The Gold Pen from King Goldie Horns, with heaps of fun along the way!

Bluey’s Quest for The Gold Pen features nine exciting levels set across snowy mountains, golden beaches, lush green forests, and iconic Australian landscapes, including the Outback.

The game will launch on Google Play on 10 January 2026, followed by console and PC later in 2026. Pre-orders are open at retailers worldwide. On PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, the game is $39.99 USD. On Nintendo Switch 2, the game is $49.99 USD and comes as the full game on the cartridge, not as a Game Key Card.
