Deus Ex: Remastered has been delayed

Those who were hoping to revisit the world of the original Deus Ex will have to wait an unknown but assumed while to do so in Deus Ex: Remastered. That’s because the folks behind the updated version of the year 2000 classic have decided to delay it indefinitely.

In a public release, Aspyr has stated that it’s decided to delay the project after listening to what fans had to say following the release of its first trailer. Reception wasn’t great, so the team has decided to delay the remaster “in order to meet fan expectations and deliver the best possible experience for players.” As such, Deus Ex: Remastered will not launch on February 5, 2026 as planned. It does not have a release date anymore, and will release when it’s ready, it seems.

Those who’ve pre-ordered the game will receive full refunds, as per the post on X.
