The folks behind the iconic Pokémon games will release their first departure from them on August 4th, it has been revealed. Yes, Beast of Reincarnation has a release date.
Mixing action RPG and tactical RPG gameplay, it’s set in a tumultuous version of future Japan.
The game begins inside a Colony, one of the few habitable areas in this devastated world. Here we meet Emma, born corrupted by blight, which caused her to fuse with plants and gain the ability to freely manipulate her hair. Her hair has been transformed into plant-like vines that she can use to traverse various terrains, such as collapsed bridges and high walls. It not only helps with movement but can be used to attack as well, by extending her hair above an enemy’s head to perform a falling assassination.
Shunned by people that fear what they cannot understand, Emma lives as an outcast, without her feelings or memories. Meanwhile, Koo is a malefact, a being that poses a threat to this world. Emma hunts these malefacts and takes on the role of a “Sealer,” absorbing their blight into her own body. Two beings who should never coexist… When Emma and Koo meet, the story begins to unfold dramatically.
