GSC Game World has shared a new trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope; the first story expansion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl.
Through this new video, fans of the game and series will get a look at new locations, including the Iron Forest and CNPP, as well as previously explored ones seen through a new lens. It also hints at “an emotional journey filled with unsettling encounters, challenging personalities and a prevalent sense of decay.”
“Cost of Hope explores the long-running conflict within the Zone between two iconic factions. Zulu, a series veteran from Duty, and Mavka, a member of Freedom, are set to uncover new and terrifying mysteries of the Zone under increasingly tense circumstances. Caught in a rapidly unfolding chapter of an age-old confrontation, Skif — the protagonist controlled by the player — must follow previously unexplored paths and face dangers beyond comprehension, choosing sides and once again shaping the future of Chornobyl through his decisions.”
The Cost of Hope expansion is said to be “the second chapter of the second Stalker trilogy.” As such, players can look forward to dozens of hours of gameplay when it launches later this summer.
