Next month’s Games With Gold offerings list will be an interesting and very varied one, though it may still disappoint given that its flagship freebie happens to be an Xbox One launch title that will soon be lapped by its second, console-exclusive follow-up.
From September 1st to 30th, Xbox One owners will be able to download and speed through Forza Motorsport 5, with indie hit Oxenfree bringing up the rear. The latter title will be available starting on the 16th, and will remain free until the 15th of October.
On the Xbox 360/backwards compatible side of things, gamers can look forward to two pretty well liked titles. The first to become available will be Hydro Thunder Hurricane, the popular Xbox Live Arcade racer. It will be free from the 1st until the 15th, and will then be followed by EA’s Battlefield 3, which will be free to download from the 16th until the 30th.
There’s definitely going to be something for everyone, with some pretty hefty games making September 2017’s list. As such, it’s easy to say that it will end up being a solid month for Games with Gold.
