Spike Video Game Awards air tonight at 9pm EST, 6pm PST

A tradition for the past decade, Spike TV is airing their tenth anniversary of the Spike Video Game Awards this evening. Hosted by Samuel L. Jackson (who also goes by Sam Jackson now, apparently), VGA TEN is going to feature a ton of games and awards, as well as world premieres and new game footage.

Voting has taken place in 25 categories ranging from Studio of the Year to Best Original Score, and of course, Game of the Year. Past winners include Batman: Arkham CityHalo: Reach, and BioWare.

We’ll be getting the world gameplay premiere of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 along with teasers for BioShock InfiniteThe Last of Us, Tomb Raider, and Gears of War: Judgment. You can also expect the announcement of a new game or two at the show as well, as the VGAs tend to get some pretty good exclusive game reveals.

There are a number of ways you can check out the show other than the traditional sit in front of the couch method. You can watch online at Spike.com or via Xbox LIVE. You can also chat about the show in real time alongside other gaming fans (nerds like us, basically) by heading over to Zeebox.

Of course, what would an award show be without Twitter? You can always tweet with the hashtag #VGA during the show to join the hordes of tweeters out there in all the video gaming madness!

Take a look at an awesome trailer for the evening below. Our good friend John (no, not that John; this John) will be making an appearance!
