This afternoon, Ubisoft detailed its post-release plans for The Crew 2, including the contents of the game’s expected season pass. A season pass that will retail for $49.99 in Canada, and will be included with the game’s more expensive Gold Edition.
Those who don’t bother with the season pass or its DLC can look forward to major updates that will occur every three months. These will expand the game’s world, enrich its disciplines and add both new content and new vehicles. The first of these will be September’s Gator Rush, which will bring with it tropical fun and a wind powered hovercraft. The second, which has not been titled, will then bring new modes, new vehicles and an additional PVP experience.
On top of these planned, free of charge updates, two new vehicles will be added to the existing lineup each month.
“Continuous expansion and renewal has always been at the core of our vision for the franchise,” said Ahmed Boukhelifa, Ivory Tower Managing Director. “For players, this means they will always find new activities and things to discover – or re-discover from another perspective.”
Meanwhile, the season pass will offer:
Three exclusive vehicles on day one, the Porsche 911 TURBO 3.6, the SUPERMARINE SPITFIRE MK IX and the ICE Marine BLADERUNNER 35.
Seven days early access to the monthly added vehicles, totaling 22 vehicles
One exclusive house location as well as two exclusive outfits
VIP 20 percent discount off of the game store
Surely we’ll see more from The Crew 2 at next week’s E3 expo, before it releases at the end of this month.
