Ubisoft announces free-to-play weekend for Rainbow Six: Siege

In advance of its Operation Grim Sky expansion, Ubisoft will be making Rainbow Six: Siege free-to-play for several days. Thus, those who’ve yet to check out what is a quality and rather addictive multiplayer shooter can do so without having to spend any money.

Siege‘s next free weekend will occur between August 16th and 20th, and will be available across all three platforms: PC, Xbox One and PS4. People who take part in the team-based action will then be able to save up to 60% off of the game’s Starter, Standard, Advanced, Gold and Complete editions between the 16th and 27th of this month. Please keep in mind, though, that sales may not be available at the same time across all platforms, as the press release we received has the following disclaimer:

*Free Weekend discount available on select dates for PC and Xbox and PlayStation stores. Dates will vary.

Rainbow Six: Siege‘s upcoming Operation Grim Sky will feature two new operators, one American Attacker and one Defender hailing from Great Britain, and the first ever fully reworked map, Hereford Base. Tune in to the Six Major Paris August 13 – 19 and watch the full reveal of Operation Grim Sky on Sunday during the finals.
