Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary DLC will bridge the gap between games

The rumours were true! Borderlands 2 is getting more story content by way of DLC. Hell, it’s actually been released, or should have been by the time you’re reading this.

Titled Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary, this add-on bridges the gap between Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3, which is scheduled to release next September. It will do so by bringing back some familiar faces, including Lilith herself.

This narrative piece will offer new heroes and skins, an effervescent loot type and lots and lots of mayhem.

Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary is currently free-to-download, and will likely stay that way. You can play it with Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, which — as we previously reported — is now available through Xbox Game Pass.
