Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will receive a gameplay demo next week

Those who’ve been waiting decades for a fourth mainline Crash Bandicoot game will be happy to hear that a demo of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is set for release next week. The only caveat is that anyone who hopes to play said preview will have to pre-order the title first.

On September 16th, Activision will release the aforementioned demo, ahead of the game’s anticipated October launch date. It will allow players to test out both Crash and the fiendish Neo Cortex, and will provide two levels’ worth of content. That, as well as a couple of the new Quantum Masks, one of which will allow one to control time, while the other will let them phase objects in and out of existence.

“Fans are so excited to get their hands on Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, the first original Crash Bandicoot title in more than a decade,” said Paul Yan, Co-Studio Head at Toys For Bob. “Even though we’re still a number of weeks out from the official launch, we can’t wait for fans to experience the challenge, fun and love we’ve poured into this game, so we’re really happy to offer them early access to part of the game through a special demo.”

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is scheduled to release on October 2nd, and will do so on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Check out its new (Tawna) gameplay below.
