Famicom Detective Club will bring the 80s to Nintendo Switch

Two games from Nintendo’s late 1980s catalogue are getting remade and re-released onto Nintendo’s Switch hybrid. As a combined release they’ll be called Famicom Detective Club.

This remade and updated collection will include 1988’s Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and its sequel, 1989’s Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind. Both were released in Japan, for the Family Computer Disk System, before seeing re-releases on the Super Famicom system, the Game Boy Advance and the Wii and Wii U Virtual Consoles.

Although they’ll remain faithful to their late-80s origins, the two games in the Famicom Detective Club will receive modern graphics and cutscenes, voice acting and gameplay updates.

You can expect to play these old school mysteries on May 14th. It will mark their first appearance in the west.
