Two more Pokemon games are currently receiving a new coat of paint, performance tweaks and all of the other things associated with remaking an older game. They are the duo of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, both of which originally released back in 2006, for Nintendo’s DS suite of handhelds.
Now dubbed Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, these remakes will bring the popular adventure to a new generation of Nintendo gamers. Both are in the works for the Switch, and will launch on it exclusively.
These faithful 3D remakes will send players back to the Sinnoh region, where they’ll explore, battle and collect in order to becomes heroes. The games will feature all of the towns, Pokemon and routes found in the originals, but will be given quality of life improvements that have appeared in more recent titles.
Both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl are currently available for pre-order. They’ll set you back $59.99 USD, and are expected to launch in late 2021.
