A brand new entry into IO Interactive’s Hitman universe was revealed this afternoon, and it’s called Hitman Sniper: The Shadows.
Following Agent 47’s disappearance, an elite group of snipers (called The Shadows) emerges. From the looks and sounds of things, those who pick up this game will be playing as them.
Hitman Sniper: The Shadows introduces a wholly original story set in the Hitman Universe. The game focuses on events following the disappearance of Agent 47 and follows the story of The Shadows, a group of highly skilled snipers – Soji, Kiya, Kolzak, Knight, and Stone – within the hidden world of assassination, where a new criminal network threatens global stability. Diana Burnwood and the International Contract Agency (ICA) activate Initiative 426, aka The Shadows, to eliminate this threat.
Unlike its big brother, Hitman III, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows is in development for mobile platforms. Its free-to-play contents are expected to release onto iOS and Android later this year.
