Xbox exclusive, Redfall, combines multiplayer shooting with vampire hunting

Microsoft and Bethesda concluded with a first look at a brand new IP, which is in the works at Dishonored and Prey developer Arkane. Entitled Redfall, it’s an interesting looking and sounding mix of co-operative shooting and vampire hunting, with some added edge and personality.

The quaint island town of Redfall, Mass., is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the island off from the outside world. Trapped with a handful of survivors against a horde of creatures threatening to bleed the town dry, players will choose from a diverse roster of heroes and group up with others to create the perfect team of vampire slayers.

In Redfall, players can venture out alone or team up with up to three friends via four player co-op. Either way, they’ll be able to test out different hero loadouts, in order to see which one fits them best. After all, everyone’s play style tends to be different.

Expect to be able to play Redfall sometime next year.
