Is a remake of The Last of Us scheduled for a September release

If rumours are to be believed, The Last of Us is being remade for PlayStation 5, and will release this fall. In fact, the prevailing thought is that it will launch on the second of September.

Earlier today, a Twitter user who goes by the name ‘The Snitch’ posted “Part 1 – 02.09.2022,” along with a couple of emojis indicating a video game and a computer. Why this is noteworthy is that this same user accurately predicted Sony’s last State of Play announcements a day early. That, as well as the ‘Part 1’ text, as it’s not often that a video game series uses that type of title.

At least that’s the prevailing thought online. This could all end up being a ruse, though, and could also maybe refer to Hideo Kojima’s next game, which is expected to be episodic in nature.
