One of the highlights of Summer Game Fest came by way of Rogue Games’ Highwater, which debuted with a beautiful and haunting trailer.
Set on a version of future Earth that has been overtaken (and mostly submerged) by water, Highwater is said to be some sort of strategy game. It seems to involve a small team of characters, who travel from one area to another by boat. From what we’ve gathered, we can also share that it’s turn-based and involves resource scavenging.
Kudos to the devs for picking a perfect song for their haunting trailer.
Expect to be able to play Highwater in 2022.
