Nintendo Direct 6.21.2023: A recap

Here’s a recap of everything shown during today’s Nintendo Direct livestream. That is, everything we haven’t already covered.

The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 is coming to Nintendo Switch, bringing with it Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Snake’s Revenge, as well as a screenplay book and a master book full of content.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s Zelda and Ganondorf will receive amiibos

WarioWare: Move It! will bring microgames to Nintendo Switch on November 6th. It’ll include more than 200 ‘wild and hilarious’ microgames, asking players to strike a pose, dance and more.

A new look at the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansions. One will arrive this fall, and the other will arrive in the wintertime.

Squeaky Clean Springs course, plus three new characters (Mario Kart: Double Dash‘s Petey Piranha, Mario Kart 7‘s Wiggler, and Mario Kart Tour‘s Kamek) are coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe via DLC.



Vampire Survivors
is coming to Switch alongside couch co-op. It’ll be released this August.

Dragon Quest meets Pokemon December first, in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince.

The Batman: Arkham Trilogy is coming to Nintendo Switch.



Star Ocean: The Second Story R
has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch. This remake of the 1998 classic will be released on November 3rd, for Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC via Steam.

Splatoon 3‘s next splatfest is focused on ice cream.

A new 3D platformer called Penny’s Big Breakway was announced. It’s also coming to other platforms.

Fae Farm combines farm simulation gameplay with magic and colour. It’s playable for 1-4 players.

Silent Hope is a newly revealed action RPG, which focuses on “seven wordless warriors” as they come together to take down a “reclusive king.” All of the character must work together and use their unique powers.

Its core gameplay loop will involve going into dungeons, completing them and then returning to one’s base to upgrade and level up.

If you’ve wanted to play a rhythm based battle royale, check out Headbangers Rhythm Royale.

The Gloomhaven board game is coming to Nintendo Switch, as a video game. It’ll feature cursed dungeons, 17 characters and 1000 abilities. Expect this one later this year.

Want to race to repair vehicles as fast as possible? Check out Manic Mechanics, and play it with up to three friends. You’ll even get to work on choppers, UFOs, tractors, mini-subs and more.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch, and will release for the platform in October. When it does, it will feature 130 vehicles.

“Create the life of your dreams” with ‘cozy,’ free-to-play adventure sim, Palia.

Lastly, a new game starring Princess Peach is in development. It seems to be a 2.5D side-scroller.
