PlayStation State of Play recap (9.14.23)

As you likely heard, Sony held another PlayStation State of Play address on September 14th. If you missed it, here’s a direct recap:

Baby Steps is a walking sim where you must carefully place each step. Control a onesie wearing protagonist, and plant each foot properly. Do this, and you’ll complete this weird walking sim’s terrain challenges.

A new Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora trailer dropped, showing more of the hero’s journey.

Resident Evil 4 (Remake) will receive its Separate Ways DLC on September 21. It’ll also get a free VR mode this wintertime.

We learned that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will feature a New York that’s doubled in size. We also received a new gameplay trailer for the title, which promises quick switching between two heroes, new abilities, many villains and 65 suits.

Oh…and the Digital Deluxe Edition got its own trailer.

Helldivers 2 will launch on February 8th.

Roblox is coming to PlayStation on October 10th.

Ghostrunner 2 received a new demo AND a new trailer.

A Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth developer interview revealed new gameplay details.

It will release on February 29th.

Tales of Arise will receive its Beyond the Dawn expansion on November 9th.

Lastly, Sony is releasing three new DualSense controllers with metallic finishes. There’ll be a red one, a blue one and a silver one. The same colours will also be made available as plates for your console. They call it the Deep Earth Collection.

Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue will launch on November 3rd, while the Sterling Silver accessories will release on January 26th.
