Halo: Campaign Evolved announced; is coming to PlayStation 5

Today may not feel like a momentous day, but it is. Not only is the World Series returning to Canada for the first time in over three decades, but Halo is now officially confirmed for PlayStation. Yes, the rumours were true.

Officially announced today, Halo: Campaign Evolved is a full remake (not remaster, like before) of the original Halo: Combat Evolved from the original Xbox. Released in 2001, it’s a classic of the first-person shooter genre. Many younger gamers missed it, though, and this is their chance to experience it in modern fashion.

Releasing in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, Halo: Campaign Evolved is a beautiful looking remake. According to reports and previews, it will offer a new, four player co-op mode, over online connections. Meanwhile, it’ll feature some changes and additions, including a three mission prequel story.

Stay tuned for more.
