As promised, Deep Silver, PLAION and 4A Games took to the Internet to fully reveal the next game in the popular Metro franchise. They call it Metro 2039, and it’ll be the first instalment since 2019.
Years have passed, and the society that has developed beneath Russia’s landscape, and in its subway tunnels, has evolved. As the Stranger, a recluse who returns to humanity’s underground bastion, you’ll explore, learn about what’s going on and meet the monsters who lurk in the dark.
This game will be told from a Ukrainian vantage point, as that’s where it’s being developed.
Metro 2039 is expected to release onto PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S this winter.
