Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced officially confirmed for a July release

The rumours were true: Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag is being remade, much to the excitement of those who’ve always loved it. This was confirmed today, through a press release announcing that Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced will be released this summer.

Resynced is being developed by Ubisoft Singapore, and utilizes the new Anvil Engine. As such, it features updated visuals, enriched gameplay, new parry-driven combat, improved stealth and parkour, deeper naval mechanics and added story elements.

Woodkid — a recording artist who’s been nominated for a Grammy — is also returning to the series, with a reimagined song slated to be released later.

Those who preorder the game will receive Blackbeard’s Crimson Pack, which includes an exclusive costume, a pair of swords, and a set of pistols.

These are the three editions you can buy:

  • Standard Edition – Includes the base game.
  • Deluxe Edition – This digital-only edition includes the base game plus the Master Assassin Character Pack and the Master Assassin Naval Pack.
  • Collector’s Edition – Includes everything in the Deluxe Edition, plus premium physical collector’s items: Edward’s Figurine, Edward wearable metal brooch, exclusive SteelBook®, cloth map, and more.

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced will be released on July 9th, for Ubisoft+, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. It will be available on Steam, the Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store.
