In a surprise announcement, Nintendo revealed that they’re working on a remake of Star Fox 64. Simply titled Star Fox, it is in development exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.
The story and gameplay look familiar and true to form, but Nintendo has added new cutscenes, Switch 2 mouse support, the ability for two players to play together and more. There will also be at least three different difficulty options. Those who play on hard will not be able to continue after receiving a game over.
Star Fox will also feature a challenge mode, which lets players replay past levels with new objective (and an expert difficulty). That, plus a battle mode. This supports online battles, with online play that allows for AR filters.
Expect to play Star Fox on June 25th.
