Announced today through press release means, is the fact that the acclaimed horror game, ASYLUM, is coming to consoles. Until then, it will be PC (Steam) exclusive.
ASYLUM is a slow burn of a first-person horror experience, which offers ten hours of gameplay featuring a former patient exploring a decaying mental health institution. As they do, they’ll experience visions and deal with the past, all while piecing together “a haunting mystery.” There will also be puzzles, but hopefully good ones that are not frustrating.
The game is said to have been inspired by Hammer horror films, H.P. Lovecraft and European horror cinema of the 80s. Its soundtrack has also been inspired by John Carpenter.
ASYLUM is coming to PS4, PS5, XBOX Series, and Switch. Expect it later this year.
