Ghost of Yotei is being repackaged and sold in a Complete Edition, which will feature new content. This will include a story expansion, a new, single player, survival mode and updates. Those things will be joined by all of the previously released content that released with its Deluxe Edition.
Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara is a new narrative expansion split between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu’s time on the mainland. Players will meet Nagato, a figure from Atsu’s past, and explore a previously unseen valley once inhabited by The Snake and his loyal followers, the Vipers. The expansion introduces new enemies, new heavy weapons, new armor sets, new dyes, and more.
Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted is a new single-player combat survival mode where players will accept bounties to begin new runs, taking down enemies to earn perks and unlock additional playable characters. Each character brings a different combat specialty, including Atsu with dual katana, Oyuki with the kusarigama, and Nagato with a yari.
You can seemingly purchase the Complete Edition now, but the new content will not become available until the first of October. The campaign and Legends are available now, of course.
Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition will be sold for $89.99 (CAD)/$69.99 (USD). Those who own the base version can upgrade for $19.99 (CAD)/$14.99 (USD). Players who pre-order by September 30 will also receive an early unlock of the Sakai Armour on October 1, inspired by Jin’s family armour from Ghost of Tsushima.
Additionally, all Ghost of Yōtei owners will receive a free patch on October 1 featuring the new Beauty of Yōtei mode, which offers a screensaver-like view of Ezo’s environments, along with quality-of-life updates including the ability to retain one armor set’s appearance while using another set’s stats and a new high contrast accessibility option.
