In case you missed it, here’s a recap of some of the other things that were announced and shared during today’s PlayStation State of Play presentations.
- Maneater 2 will mark the return of a man-eating bull shark when it releases next year.
- A LEGO PlayStation 1 set was announced. The 1,911 piece set will be released on the first of October.
- Double Fine released Keeper — its surreal puzzle adventure starring a lighthouse — on PS5.
- Gran Turismo 7 will receive a two part anniversary update later this year, featuring two new circuits, twelve cars and more.
- Ghost of Yotei received new trailers for its upcoming expansion, and its combat survival mode. Those are coming October 1st.
- Final Fantasy Resonance introduced Sephiroth, as well as the fact that the game’s first chapter is available as a demo. Progress carries over.
- Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World received a new trailer, showcasing its two young adventurers and their upcoming quest. It’s out on December 3rd.
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 comes to PS5 in 2027, and received a new trailer today.
- Crimson Desert is getting a big new expansion called Charting the Unknown. It was shown via a new trailer. You won’t have to wait long as it’ll be out on the fifteenth of October.
- CONQ: Crown of No Quarter is a naval combat game. It’s set in a shared open world.
- Developed by China’s Dark Star Games, Daba: Land of Water Scar is coming to PS5 in 2027. Play as a clayman journeying across a fantastical world without water.
- Digimon Time Stranger: A Hero’s Eternal Legacy received a new trailer too. It’s a new expansion coming out in 2027, and will introduce 50 creatures.
- Echoes of Aincrad: Sword Art Online – Genesis Maidens is an expansion that arrives this coming winter.
- Fate/Extra Record will be released on January 28, 2027, for PS4 and PS5. The remake received a new trailer.
- Gundam Rogue Orbit received a new video focusing on its hard-hitting combat. It’ll be out March 5th.
- Set during one night, Hunter’s Moon is a folk horror game with a first-person viewpoint. It’s inspired by the true history of English witch hunts, and will be released on October 25th.
- Metro 2039’s new trailer shows off PlayStation 5 Pro gameplay.
- Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance launches next year.
- Four games were announced for PlayStation Plus, including Mycopunk (multiplayer loot shooter). Then coming to PlayStation Plus Premium Classics this year are Mega Man X: Command Mission (in September), and both Dino Crisis 2 and the original Ratchet & Clank.
- Rematch is teaming up with Blue Lock for a new collaboration. Expect it on September 24th.
- A new look at Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil movie kicked things off.
- Rev.Noir was shown off by Konami, via two trailers. They confirmed a 2027 release for the RPG.
- Rhapsody in Scarlet is a new IP from Konami, which combines 1920s New York jazz with magical beasts.
- Later this year, Saros will receive its free Zenos update, adding a boss rush mode and New Game+ with modifiers.
- SlashZero — a new side scrolling roguelike action game — has received a time limited demo. It’s going to launch in 2027.
- A demo for Stupid Never Dies is also available, and progress carries over.
- Uncanyon is a puzzle game which shifts the scales of perspective and memories.
- The Eminence in Shadow: Phantom Echoes is the roguelite action series’ first console game. Expect it in 2027.
- CyGames revealed a new publishing label called CyGames Edge. They also revealed Where the Seeds Fall — a gravity driven game involving falling through a giant tree. This one will be released on the 27th of November.
- World Phasebound Control Authority: WPCA is an action-RPG that is set in Seoul, and tasks players with controlling a containment officer who’s dealing with a supernatural issue. It’s coming in 2028.
