Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite announced, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 hits PlayStation 4 today

After several rumours indicated that it would be announced at the show, Sony’s PlayStation Experience keynote officially revealed a fourth Marvel vs. Capcom game for PlayStation 4! The game will be titled ‘Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite‘, and was unveiled with a pre-rendered FMV teaser, which showed Capcom’s Mega Man X and Ryu teaming up to battle Marvel’s Iron Man and Captain Marvel. The first gameplay will be revealed at the Capcom Cup 2016 that is being held later this weekend, with Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite due for release in 2017. The game will also release for Xbox One and PC, as well as PlayStation 4.mvci-gameplay

Along with confirming an all-new Marvel vs. Capcom game, Sony’s representatives also revealed that the series’ most recent entry, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, will be releasing for PlayStation 4 as a surprise PlayStation Store offering today! It will be a timed PlayStation 4 exclusive, with an Xbox One and PC version later releasing in March 2017. The original build of the game is available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, though was pulled from digital storefronts after Marvel’s former game licenses expired. The current-gen Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 remaster will make this fan-favourite fighter accessible as a digital purchase again.
