As expected, Bethesda Softworks and Nintendo have announced that Skyrim will be coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.

The port of the 2011 game will also have some significant updates made, though whether or not graphical fidelity and framerate upgrades are included there is yet to be seen. There is almost no chance that this is the Skyrim Special Edition that we’d love, but that might be a bit of a stretch anyway.

The Nintendo-focused updates to Skyrim include motion controls for lock picking and combat as well as outfits and gear from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game will even respond to amiibo of Zelda characters from Breath of the WildSuper Smash Bros., and the 30th Anniversary Series.

The outfits and gear will even include series mainstays like the regal Hylian Shield and Master Sword, Link’s tunic, and other recognizable kit.

In addition, Skyrim for Switch will include all expansions made to the game. Gamers will be able to play within the expanded worlds and upgrades of Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn with this single Switch game.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for Nintendo Switch launches later this year.
