The excitement was palpable among video game message board users, after Game Informer confirmed its plans to reveal Spider-Man‘s PS4 release date today. Hell, a small guessing game even erupted, with many thinking that the Insomniac-developed webslinger would release sometime this spring or summer, as opposed to next fall.
Unfortunately, for those of us who are itching to get our hands on this game, that isn’t going to be the case. Spider-Man will, in fact, be released onto Sony’s console on September 7th.
Those who pre-order the game will entitle themselves to a small reward, that being the ‘Spidey Suit Pack’ and its three different skins. The first of this trio is referred to as the ‘Spider-Punk Suit,” and it just so happens to be the only one we know of at this time. The others aren’t going to be revealed until sometime this spring and summer.
