Mafia: Definitive Edition gets a COVID-19 related delay

Although it was originally announced and scheduled for an August release, 2K’s Mafia: Definitive Edition will not make that date. Instead, the remade fan favourite will release in late September.

The development team released an update in message form, and did so through Twitter. Within it, they stated that attempting to make the game’s original release date was simply proving too difficult during this ongoing global pandemic. They didn’t want to jeopardize quality or, more importantly, put their employees at risk.

Delays suck, but they often make sense. This one certainly does.

Instead, Mafia: Definitive Edition will now release on September 25th. Another in-depth look at the game will also be provided on July 22nd, so stay tuned.
