In case you missed it, Sportsnet has uploaded another episode of its EA Sports NHL 21 ‘From Alex to Ovi‘ webseries. Through it, fans of the National Hockey League, and Ovi himself, can go behind-the-scenes and learn more about the sport’s most exciting player.
From Alex to Ovi chronicles Alex Ovechkin’s career. Beginning around the time he was drafted, before showing his highlight reel goals, ascent to superstardom and championship run, it covers some interesting ground pertaining to NHL 21‘s cover athlete.
This particular episode begins with the Stanley Cup parade, which was surely one of the highlights thus far. After so many years of great hype surrounding the Washington Capitals, The Great 8 and his teammates finally made it to the top of the challenging, hit-filled mountain that is the NHL’s playoffs. This occurred following numerous failures, which had turned the team into a bit of a joke among fans, who called them chokers alongside the also highly touted San Jose Sharks. Both teams had had quite a few excellent regular seasons, before choking in the playoffs and failing to go all that far.
Stay tuned for our full and detailed review of NHL 21, which will be published in the near future. The game releases tomorrow (Friday, October 16, 2020), but early access has been going on for at least a couple of days.
