During Nintendo’s latest Direct stream, the video game giant announced that Splatoon 3 will be released sometime next year. Little else was said, but a trailer was shown, and it gave us a look at some new content and mechanics.
Although the multiplayer focused paint shooter looks to play similarly to its two predecessors, its announcement trailer does provide us with a glimpse at a new desert locale. Here’s what Nintendo had to say about that:
In the wake of chaos, enter the sun scorched Splatlands and the new city, Splatsville, inhabited by battle-hardened Inklings and Octolings. New weapons, moves, and more await, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates in the future.
