Wasteland 3 developers announce new expansion, Cult of the Holy Detonation; Wasteland 3: Colorado Edition also revealed

The second and final Wasteland 3 expansion was revealed today, and it’s called Cult of the Holy Detonation.

Releasing on the fifth of October, Wasteland 3: Cult of the Holy Detonation will present a new threat to the in-game version of Colorado. However, this particular expansion will feature a dungeon crawler feel, and will also possess objective-based combat. As such, it’s destined to feel pretty different from that which came before it.

Players will be able to access this new content once they reach level sixteen. At that time, they’ll receive a new quest, which will take them to the Cheyenne Mountains. Once there, they’ll discover that two different factions are fighting over an experimental reactor. It’s said that you won’t actually fight these factions, but will have to deal with irradiated cultists instead.

Also revealed today is the Wasteland 3: Colorado Edition, which will include the game and both of its expansions. While Cult of the Holy Detonation will set you back $6.99, this complete version will cost $69.99, on Steam, GOG, Xbox and PlayStation.
