In a few weeks, Splitgate 2 will welcome players to its open beta test. We can now tell you when that will occur, and what that will entail.
The online multiplayer shooter will begin its beta on May 22, and will be available on all current and last generation video game devices not named Nintendo Switch.
As shown in the teaser, the open beta will have:
- 25+ Weapons – featuring the brand new Borealis, an energy carbine power weapons
- 15+ Maps – including two new massive 24-Player Onslaught maps, Drought and Fracture
- 10+ Modes – with fan-favorite Takedown making its triumphant comeback, where teams battle to eliminate all members of the opposing team before they can respawn

The developers at 1047 Games also teased the idea of “infinite” maps. They promise to reveal exactly what that means soon, along with a full breakdown of all of the other content in Splitgate 2’s open beta, closer to May 22nd.
