Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was officially announced today

One of the expected announcements of Microsoft’s Xbox Showcase pertained to the next Call of Duty game. Well, those expectations were met and the rumours ended up being true, as Activision unveiled Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Black Ops 7 will take place in the year 2035, meaning it’s set more than 40 years after the events of this year’s outing. Within its campaign, David Mason must fight back against an enemy that weaponizes fear, with the help of his heavily armed team.

Friends can join forces to tackle the co-op campaign, or go about it solo. Then, they can hop into the game’s signature multiplayer mode, which will feature new maps and futuristic weaponry. Afterwards, they’ll be able to do some round based Zombies gaming in the heart of Dark Aether.

We expect Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 to be released this fall, and to be a day one Game Pass title. It is currently scheduled to launch onto PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/ Series and PC.
