During today’s ID@Xbox presentation, the folks at Cococucumber shared a new trailer for Echo Generation 2. Through it, they revealed new characters, who will play roles in the soon-to-be-released deck builder/turn-based RPG.
Echo Generation 2 follows Jack’s journey, introducing new characters such as Annata Z, Noliva, Strix, Sister M, and Bulder through interconnected chapters and changing perspectives. The turn-based deckbuilder features more than 150 cards, enabling players to wreak havoc with devastating combos, from protective shields to perfectly timed summons.
Jack is Echo Generation 2’s main protagonist and the driving force behind the narrative. A former special ops agent turned family man, he is pulled back into conflict after a catastrophic breach tears at reality. As the world fractures, Jack must protect his family from escalating mutations and encroaching cosmic horrors from other dimensions.
Bulder is a mischievous creature from another world, cast onto Earth through the breach. Driven by a shared desire to return home, Bulder joins Jack on a perilous mission deep within the FST. As they uncover hidden experiments, they are drawn into a web of secrets where Dr. Lee, an old acquaintance, plays a dangerous game of trust.
Annata Z is a wandering exile who must piece together her lost memories on a stark industrial frontier. As fragments of her memories surface, they reveal a trail of loss and suffering. Fueled by grief and resolve, her journey becomes a relentless pursuit of vengeance for her daughter and for the suffering of her people.
Noliva is a charismatic bounty hunter who thrives in the chaos of the Neon District alongside her loyal companion, Strix. When echoes of her hidden past emerge, she is forced to confront reality, and the crime boss who raised her. The truth he holds could reshape everything she thought she knew, and the future of the galaxies.
Sister M is a defiant psychic teenager determined to escape the FST Research Center at any cost. As she searches for her missing friends, she uncovers disturbing truths buried within the facility. What she discovers reveals not only the institute’s purpose, but her role in the center of it all. Sister M was first introduced during the game’s demo.
Strix was rescued from a deadly storm and has been inseparable from Noliva ever since. Raised together in the mean streets of Sectoris under the influence of a powerful crime lord, the duo forged an unbreakable bond. Now they take on dangerous bounties across a neon-lit city divided by rival factions battling for control.
Echo Generation 2 will be released on May 27th. It’s headed to Xbox Series and PC.
