A new hardcore action-RPG has entered the arena, with the premiere of Genigods: Nezha, from Genigods Lab. Revealed today at gamescom, it is said to reinvent ancient Chinese creation mythology for its single player campaign.

Genigods: Nezha is an original hardcore action RPG rooted in ancient Chinese genesis mythology. Players embody the Spirit Pearl, the primal life essence crafted by Goddess Nüwa, reincarnated as the legendary deity Nezha to embark on an epic primordial journey.
The game features a unique three-stage protagonist evolution: from a primitive porcelain vessel, to the first mortal human, and finally to a transcended celestial warrior. It reinterprets classic myths of Kuafu Chasing the Sun and Yi Shooting the Nine Suns, centered on the lore of the solar mother goddess, presenting a rare matriarchal perspective of Chinese creation mythology for global audiences.
