Ex-Ubisoft head opens new studio, first game is Amy Hennig’s Star Wars title

1436791036713Jade Raymond left Ubisoft in late-2014 after founding the Ubisoft Toronto studio and being a powerhouse for the company.

Today, Raymond announced via Twitter that she is creating a new studio called Motive Studios in her hometown of Montreal, Quebec that will operate under Electronic Arts’ EA Montreal.

The studio will focus on new IP, though their first project for Electronic Arts will be Amy Hennig’s Star Wars title.

No further details about the game itself were given, though with Raymond’s 20-plus year career in the gaming industry working with some heavyweights like Ubisoft, we have a hard time believing the results will be anything short of spectacular.
